Two Point Hospital is a quirky hospital sim builder developed by Two Point Studios and published by SEGA. For those of you who recall playing EA’s Theme Hospital back in the late 90’s, Two Point Hospital will have you feeling a bit of nostalgia.
Two Point Hospital released on Steam last year and received raving reviews from the community. Today the game finally comes to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and even Nintendo Switch!
Now, the developers have released an all new mode available on all consoles. The new sandbox mode will give players the ability to spend unlimited cash and Kudosh. The freeplay mode will automatically unlock all items and upgrades, leaving you free to explore every facet of the game without restriction.
The new sandbox: freeplay mode also came with a little trailer, which can be viewed below. The trailer gives a close look at what the new mode entails, as told by the hilarious narrator from their previous trailers. Sandbox: freeplay is a free DLC for consoles, and is available now.

With the new DLC for Two Point Hospital, Close Encounters, now available on Steam here (followed by console releases soon), we thought it was a great opportunity to dive back into the game! If you haven’t yet heard of this tycoon management game, you can check out the details with our review here.
Don’t be alarmed by the hospital setting; the illnesses you’ll encounter are all but ordinary and come with ‘punny’ alternatives. For example: Enjoy the visual details of someone walking into your hospital with a pan on their head and direct them to a treatment room where you remove it with a giant magnet! Since we wanted to get the most out of this game and feel compelled to achieve excellence, we went after the 3-star goals in every level. Below are some tips and tricks to help you avoid the same mistakes we made that resulted in figurative and literal dumpster fires.
You’ll notice that getting that first star is always quite easy but if you want to attempt the third, you’ll need to buy more plots and expand your hospital. This will obviously give you a lot more to manage. You might be making millions but when your expenses kick in, you can lose it all and maybe even go bankrupt if you’re not careful.
When you edit rooms, it kicks everyone out of them but don’t be afraid to rearrange or delete unused rooms as it will make things easier in the long run! You should also check up on your employees and fire staff that are under-performing. Then, keep checking your patients’ health and bump the ones that are near death up the queue line before they keel over! Finally, take your time and have fun!

During Gamescom 2019, publisher SEGA just announced their latest DLC “Close Encounters” for Two Point Hospital and it has aliens! Two Point Hospital is a tongue-in-cheek hospital sim builder developed by Two Point Studios. It’s still coming to all major consoles later this year but for now let’s look into this new Steam DLC which you can pre-purchase for August 29th, 2019! Moreover, you can even get it 10% off now until September 5th, 2019 right here. You won’t want to miss out on this DLC as it includes three new unusual hospitals set in different locations, 34 new illnesses (i.e. Lack of Humanity, Science Friction), three new cure rooms, as well as new challenges, and more!
Down in the town of Goldpan, rumours persist of an out of this world encounter. A fireball, witnessed streaking above the sandy climes of Two Point County’s Eastern reaches, is chief suspect after a range of unusual illnesses have caused strife, commotion and general unrest amongst the inhabitants of this oft-forgotten town. As an all-round medical supremo with a knack for tackling the unreal, your administration has operational access to some key locations in the area… including some areas the public really don’t need to know about. The Two Point Squabbler, the County’s finest journalistic institution, wants to know what’s going on… and you’re their ticket in.
SEGA went live at Gamescom 2019 today at 2PM CEST so you can catch up with their stream below which includes more details and gameplay footage of the Close Encounters DLC.
