For those that missed it, Nintendo announced not too long ago that they are bringing a remastered version of Super Mario 3D World to the Nintendo Switch, and with it will come an add-on called Bowser’s Fury. In Bowser’s Fury, players with team up with friends in local or online co-op, alongside Baby Bowser, to defeat a quite-enlarged and overly enraged Bowser.
This epic remaster will release solely on the Nintendo Switch on February 12th, exactly on month from today, and will cost $59.99. The trailer below finally gives players an in-depth look at what to expect from the remaster of what is still considered one of the best Mario games of all time.
“Pounce and climb through dozens of colorful stages! Mario (and his friends) can use power-ups like the Super Bell, which grants catlike abilities, like climbing and scratching. Work together locally* or online** with up to three other players to reach the goal…and to see who can get a high score.”
“The Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury game features the same great co-op gameplay, creative levels and power-ups as the original game, but also so much more. Additional details about what fun things this game has to offer will be revealed soon!“

Part of the big celebration of Mario’s 35th Anniversary, Nintendo announced that there will be yet another new Mario game coming to the Nitenndo Switch. This one, however, will be quite a bit different than Super Mario 3D All-Stars or Super Mario 3D World. Super Mario Bros. 35 puts an all new spin on this classic franchise.
For those of you that are unfamiliar with the genre, battle royale usually pits a large amount of players against each other in an all out war to be the last person standing. Initially reserved for the first-person shooter genre, this game mode has been evolving to take on the likes of games such as Tetris, and try out whacky styles like Fall Guys.
Much like Tetris 99, Super Mario 35 will have each player playing solo on their own centered screen with the enemies surrounding. The goal of the game is to bop as many baddies as you can to send more trouble to your enemies, while dodging the trouble that they send to you in return. The ultimate goal being to be the last person in the group of 35 to not be taken down.
This epic installment in the Mario series will only be available until March 31st, 2021, and will become available for Nintendo Switch Online members on October 1st. For more information about the game, check out the official Nintendo website.

Most of us grew up with one or more Mario games at our disposal. Nary a household could be found that didn’t either have Super Mario Bros. or Mario Kart. In one way, shape or form, we’ve all been at the helm of this mustachioed master as he bops endless baddies for our amusement.
In a way, Mario has just as much helped to shape our society as some of the more major events throughout history. At an early age, Mario teaches us that if we just keep trying, and learning from our mistakes, we can overcome just about any obstacle. This lesson has been taught through countless video games spread across every platform that Nintendo has put out (and some it didn’t; i.e. emulators, mobile games and game mods).
Over the years, Mario has evolved and found himself the centerpiece of many of medias greatest achievements, including giving John Leguizamo a role in what goes on to be critically hailed as one of the worst movies ever made about a video game.
That being said, I personally thoroughly enjoyed the movie. And, like many of you, have loved just about everything that has had the name Mario ascribed to it through the years. Mario has now even put his own spin on the world of LEGO with a recent collaboration, and will soon be physically racing around in our own homes!!
So I would like to extend a huge thanks to Nintendo for creating such a light hearted and wonderful protagonist, and say a huge…
For those of you that also love Mario, and wouldn’t mind a couple more Mario games to your Switch library, Walmart is currently offering 33% off of four different Mario games.
And don’t forget to check out how Nintendo celebrated Mario this year, by releasing a new remaster bundle of three fan favorite Mario Games; Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy.

So many fond memories of relaxing and hanging out with my small family unit as we traversed the many and varied levels of the Mario universe. From 2D to 3D, Mario has always been there to help us escape from real world problems, into the much more frustrating realm of digital world problems.
Well, Nintendo has put together a super cute little video, the Super Mario Bros. Medley, with accompanying music to take us on a stroll down memory lane. The video displays excerpts from the different mainline Mario games, in chronological order of course.

Over the years, Mario has had more games made with him as the focus than anyone could possibly count. Obviously, some much better than others. Well, Nintendo has been keeping track of exactly which Mario games were the biggest hits with the fans, and have put these games together in an all new nostalgia overloading bundle.

The three games chosen to be remastered for this amazing collection are Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy. All absolutely wonderful examples of just how much love and effort was put into this epic platformer series. At the time of writing, this casual gamer has only gotten to enjoy Super Mario 64, as Mario was never a focal point of my gaming repertoire.
That being said, I have no idea how many countless hours I poured into Super Mario 64. Playing and replaying every level to complete the game to 100%, multiple times. No matter how many times you replay that game, it never gets any less fun. And given what I’ve heard about the other two games included in the bundle, I have no doubt that this is one Mario title that will be making its home on my Nintendo Switch.
This game is currently available to pre-order though the official Nintendo website, and costs $59.99. Super Mario 3D All-Stars will release on September 18th, 2020.

Leave it to Nintendo to think of new and creative ways to make this versatile character that much more omnipresent. We have already seen so many wonderful toys, movies and video games featuring this famous baddy-bopping mustachioed man. Now, Lego is reinventing their toy line to create an all new experience with the one and only Mario.
Whether you love building things with Lego’s, or grew up playing Mario games, this new set is sure to be a big hit. In the reimagining that Lego has created, individuals will create an entire Mario level using just legos. However, these aren’t your average everyday lego pieces.
Many of the pieces feature digital screens and interactive capabilities that bring this lego set to life. You will maneuver your LEGO Mario through a level that you have created, and he will interact with the world accordingly. You will hear all the classic sounds and see the effects of your different actions as they happen.
This brings a while new dimension to the Lego universe, and it will be super cool to see what kind of creations fans of both franchises will come up with. It’s like an all new Super Mario Maker, but in the physical world. The new LEGO Super Mario set will release sometime later this year.
