Jenny LeClue is a thrilling crime-solving game created by indie developer Mografi (Joe Russ), based in Florida. You can download a free playable demo on iOS here and PC here (Gumroaditch.io). The game is set to release this Fall 2019 on Steam, Humble, iOS, Android, Windows, OSX, Linux, PS4, and the Nintendo Switch. Become a detective and make hard choices along the way while trying to find the real killer behind this murder mystery.

    About Jenny LeClue

Jenny LeClue is a handcrafted adventure with awesome gameplay, memorable characters, and a unique aesthetic. It’s also a coming-of-age story about the blurred lines between right and wrong. This is a game about your choices and how they affect Jenny and the author’s story. It’s a rich metanarrative with delightful surprises and interactions. Jenny LeClue also explores mature themes, complex characters, and an epic tangled mystery.

You play as Jenny, a brilliant young detective, living in the idyllic college town of Arthurton. Jenny is a sharp-eyed, relentless pursuer of the truth. But nothing exciting happens in Arthurton, and Jenny longs for real adventure.

Jenny gets more than she bargains for when her mother is accused of murder, and begins an unexpected journey to find the truth. She soon discovers every cloud has a dark lining, and nothing in Arthurton is what it seems. Unseen forces will stop at nothing to keep Jenny from the truth. And she will have to use all her skills of deduction to find the real killer.

    Key Features

    • Beautiful Handmade Art Style – Sleek and gorgeous hand drawn style with vintage midcentury aesthetics.
    • A Living World – The goal is for everything to be interactive, to reward players who poke and prod at every last item and object with insight, secrets, and humor.
    • Choosiness On A Massive Scale – Players will make choices in their individual game, and some of those choices will be tallied to permanently influence subsequent chapters, essentially “writing” the story collaboratively. The choice players make about the cliffhanger ending of episode one determines the beginning of episode two.
    • Female Protagonist – Jenny is a brilliant young detective, sharp eyed, intuitive and a ruthless pursuer of the truth.
    • Dialogue With A Twist – Jenny is able to move the camera around during dialogue scenes and observe the subject for visible clues that might reveal their guilt or innocence that would otherwise go undetected.
    • Story Within A Story – Jenny LeClue weaves a rich metanarrative. The “author” of Jenny’s adventures, Arthur K Finklestein, acts as narrator and guide, but his presence also allows you to change the way Jenny’s story is written. Players choices will also affect Finklestein’s own story.
    • Not Just For Kids – Complex relationships will be explored with themes of family, loss, and identity influenced by horror, sci-fi, and mystery genres.
    • A Diverse Cast Of Characters & Locations – Explore Arthurton’s expansive world including the abandoned mines, the forgotten graveyard, the misty mountains, the old observatory, the police station, the shops and eateries on Main Street, and Gumboldt University’s Library. You will meet many intriguing and suspicious characters, in a town whose population is representative of the US Census demographics.

You are responsible for colonizing uninhabited planets by starting from nothing and harnessing natural resources to build a robot empire! In Autonauts you teach adorable little robots how to world-build so you can sit back and watch them do all of the hard work for you (with fair wages of course – no we just made that up). In truth you can create these little workerbots from humble beginnings and watch them create an entire automated civilization. Moreover, this is all about reaching new heights of technology for our species.

Autonauts is currently being developed by Denki and published by Curve Digital. On July 25th, 2019, the creators announced that the game will be releasing on Steam in Autumn 2019. They also would like to take it to further platforms other than PC but for now you can Wishlist it here.

    About Autonauts

Travel the universe colonizing uninhabited planets with the sole goal of setting worlds in motion through the power of automation. Fresh from your spaceship you must harvest stick and stone and begin your colonization efforts. Create rudimentary crafting items from blueprints and slowly build a number of workerbots to aid in your efforts.

Teach and shape their artificial intelligence with a visual programming language. Afterward, instruct them to begin the formation of your colony. Marvel as a planet you’ve shaped becomes home to a civilization of workerbots, happy to do your bidding! Expand further with the creation of colonists; beings that require your assistance to survive. Push your workerbots further by introducing fishing, cooking, housing, and tailoring and help the colonists into a state of transcendence.

    Key Features

    • Playful Programming. Teach your workerbots requisite steps to complete tasks by asking them to repeat actions utilizing a visual programming language. Designed to be easy to learn but with added complexity there are numerous possibilities.
    • Automated Automation. Build an army of bots to automate just about everything in your colony, teach them what to do and expand both their brains and task possibilities with numerous upgrades and options.
    • Various Ventures. From gathering to building, cooking, fishing, tailoring, farming, animal husbandry and more – the world of Autonauts is vast with limitless opportunities to automate and colonize.
    • Charming Creativity. The world of Autonauts pops to life with a low-poly art-style married with a consistent and bright color palette adding depth and scale, creating a relaxing and attractive play space.

Autonauts is unique in combining agriculture, simulation, crafting, building, production-line, and resource management all in one. If you’re interested in automated production-lines and managing robots, check out our article here: Automachef – Kitchen Puzzle Game with Fast-Food & Robots.

Temtem is about seeking adventure in the lovely Airborne Archipelago alongside your Temtem squad. Catch every Temtem and battle tamers around the world. This MMO is created by Crema and has just released its Alpha 0.2.5 with quite the large updates which you can read in more detail from Crema here. You can also check out all the other updates with us right here if you missed them last time. The game is estimated to release sometime in 2020 on PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PS4. Below you can read the highlights on the newly added Breeding system and more!

    Breeding

If two Temtem are compatible, putting them together in the Breeding Center will create a new Egg. Eggs will eventually hatch into a new Temtem and they will be able to inherit some characteristics from their parents. The two parents will need to be one female and one male and of the same type (i.e. Fire, Electric). If a Temtem has two types, it will be compatible with other species from any of those two types.

    Temtem Fertility

Breeding Temtem in captivity will generate stress for the participants during the process. This stress is reflected in the fertility value of each Temtem. The fertility value is used to avoid over-exploitation of perfectly bred Temtem. Each captured Temtem will begin with a fertility value predetermined by how good they are (genetically speaking – each SV over 40 will reduce the fertility).

Each time a Temtem is used to breed an egg, they will permanently lose a fertility point. Additionally, the produced egg will inherit the fertility value from their parents (the lower value between the father fertility and the mother fertility). This way, fertility degradation will be pyramidal.

    Getting and Hatching Eggs

At the Breeding Center, a new egg will be generated in 40 (real-time) minutes after the couple is deposited. If both deposited Temtem are part of the same evolutionary line, the time will be reduced to 25 minutes. When the time is up, you will be able to get back the couple of Temtem and the generated egg. The egg will hold a level 1 Temtem and the species will be the first form of the mother’s evolutionary line.

The time required to hatch an egg can range between 5 to 40 minutes, depending on the capture rate of that Temtem species. Time will only pass as long as the Temtem is equipped in your Squad but you don’t need to move around in order for the egg to hatch.

To read more about the breeding process in Temtem and how to inherit traits, can do the Kickstarter update here.

    FreeTem! Initiative

The FreeTem! Initiative is our first approach to having methods of earning infinite Pansuns and to keep all players entertained after the campaign is over. Take into consideration that this is just one of the methods that will be available in the final game.

The idea is to promote that all Temtem should be free and sent back to the wild. Therefore, you will be rewarded for every Temtem released. Furthermore, each week there will be an additional special reward upon reaching a certain number of freed Temtem. The rewards will be different every week so players are encouraged to check them frequently to not miss anything.

    Emotes & Quest Tracker

Temtem is filled with sidequests and sometimes even the main quest can be a bit daunting due to all the different areas of the Archipelago. This is why there’s now a Quest Tracker!

It will show the most recent quests with instructions on how to proceed. In the future, the Quest Tracker will be expanded with a full quest log which will allow you to check every single quest. The last highlighted feature is the emotes! Emotes will allow players to express themselves much better! Currently there’s four emotes available with new ones to come in the future.

A Juggler’s Tale is an atmospheric 3D puzzle sidescroller set in a medieval puppet theater play. The game is currently in development by a team of indie developers made up of: Sven Bergmann, Steffen Oberle, Enzio Probst, Dominik Schön. The release date window is between late 2019 and early 2020 coming first to PC, and then PS4 and the Nintendo Switch.

This hauntingly beautiful and creepy art-style coupled with the story’s tragic tale reminds us of the movie Coraline. Alternatively, Coraline is turned into a ragdoll when stumbling upon the Other World. In A Juggler’s Tale, you’re trying to escape the life of a controlled puppet forced to perform! All the while you can hear the narrator explain Abby’s actions and the voice of the antagonist tempting you to return. Most of which is being recited in rhymes might we add. Although you must forge on and help Abby to navigate the dangers of the world, and free her from her strings (shackles)!

    About A Juggler’s Tale

Play as the string puppet Abby as she flees from her captors into freedom and adventure: a world of beauty and wonder – but also danger! She finds herself in a war-torn, medieval fairytale, surrounded by ravaged, starving citizens and hunted by the relentless cut-throat, Tonda. Who can she trust? Can she avoid the traps and betrayal? Despite dangling from her threads, Abby learns that she can still influence her destiny – if only by winning over the audience. Help Abby navigate a traumatized, yet hauntingly beautiful world. Lead her forward through riddles and around traps, evade her pursuers and find – perhaps – freedom!

We had previously mentioned this breathtakingly beautiful adventure simulation game was coming to Windows, Mac, Steam, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch sometime in 2019. However, the developers, studio Chibig, have just announced today that they will be self-publishing which will take a lot more work and time! During the winter months the team will be working on localization, platform ports (the Nintendo Switch version is already functional), and testing. Meaning, the release date has been delayed to February 2020. Don’t worry though, we believe it will be well worth the wait! See below for what we can look forward to and check out their Kickstarter page here for more information.

Summer in Mara is centered around the main island Qälis, a small town with different Qüidos, humans, cat-children, and a few Elit. In this city, you can see the mixture of cultures scattered all through Mara. In Qälis, you will meet people, trade with them, and discover lots of secrets about Mara’s exotic and ancient structures. You’ll be able to befriend all of these villagers but you’ll also be able to craft, grow livestock, and plant trees and crops!

About Some of the Local Shops and Villagers

The Market: Three twins run this place, but be careful with them, since they can be really tricky.

Qälis Temple: Meet Blu, a strange individual that doesn’t talk much. But when Blu talks… nobody knows what he meant.

Taka’s Restaurant: He’s a famous and great chef, but very traditionalist. Brram, his nephew, wants to be like his uncle but also wants to explore the galaxy.

The Forge: Akaji is the blacksmith in Qälis. In her forge, you can see her latest work. Like, well, can you see what emerge from the ground?

The Adventurer: Onzo is a cat-child, but also the adventurer like you! He keeps all kind of stories in his diary!

Awan’s Tavern: It’s a great place to enjoy a different meal. But a lot of Qüidos don’t like this kind of “cuisine”.

The Other Villagers: Taima is a pirate that doesn’t know what pirates are, Fink is an Elit engineer, and Mayo is the worst waitress in Mara.

Studio Chibig plans on keeping us all updated on the progress of the game more often and will be letting all of their backers know more about the physical rewards which will still be releasing on schedule. In the meantime, check out our articles Ahoy Potatoes!
