Temtem: Pioneers is the third entry into the Temtem world. It’s a colorful creature collector full of unique creatures, enjoyable adventure, and exciting battles. Step into the Downbelow, a vast, untamed region where your survival skills will be put to the test. The area is unpredictable, but offers plenty of chances to explore, craft, and build. And with over 200 Temtem to tame, there’s so much to do and achieve.
Tame brand new Temtem and some familiar favorites to not only collect them all, but to use their abilities. In Temtem: Pioneers, you need to build your own base of operations. Your new friends can help you with collecting the resources to do so. Some are better suited to exploring the Downbelow and battling other Temtem, though. The game even has a new combat system where you can bring up to 3 of your Temtem and switch between them seamlessly. Play solo or with friends and discover what you can accomplish with friends and Temtem!

In Shorekeeper, you find yourself washed ashore with nothing to your name but the clothes you’re wearing. You’ll need to learn to survive and create a brand new life for yourself. Start simple with basic amenities like a campfire and a tent. Then, build up your new island home to turn it into a thriving sanctuary for you and other castaways!
Spend your days living the cozy island life in Shorekeeper. Chop trees, gather resources, and cast your line to catch some fish. Even plant crops and raise livestock. Explore the City and Follow Your Dreams
Forget mundane 9-to-5s. To Pixelia‘s career system is anything but ordinary. You’ll start with a basic job like waiting tables, cleaning the hotel, or baking just so you can pay rent and take care of your basic needs. You do have to eat and drink, after all. There are several different career paths you can aim for. If you enjoy music, go buy an instrument at Melody Square and join an impromptu jam session to practice. Start a band, compose music, and produce some albums, too. Once your music has gained popularity, you can perform at concerts and earn the big bucks from royalties.
If art is more your speed, head on over to Starlight Studios where you can unleash your inner artist through sculpting, painting, or other forms of art. Inkwell Library lets you practice your writing skills so one day you can write a bestselling masterpiece. Or join the Pixel Basketball league and become a famous basketball player. Make use of Pixelia Gymnasium to lift weights and prepare for your career in boxing. You can even dip your toes into the political scene and build a campaign. Hire a team of assistants and PR professionals, deliver inspiring speeches, and get elected as president so you can pass laws, raise taxes, and enact legislation. Your choices do affect public opinion, so choose wisely!
What’s even better than the number of job options throughout the game, is that To Pixelia took things further and have made working an in-depth feature. Jobs aren’t something that just happen to you. They have mini-games you can play in order to actually work the job. For example, as a baker, you will complete a mini-game to knead the dough necessary for recipes. You get to engage with your career choices instead of reading about them. If the city life gets too hectic, trade skyscrapers for the lush countryside where you can get back to your cozy gaming roots and farm the days away. Tend to your crops, care for adorable animals, and live a slower paced life.
And So, So Much More
You can live the life of a regular citizen if you choose, but you can also choose to rob banks, hack computers, or join a gang. There’s even gambling at the casino where you can play blackjack and the slot machines. Bet on underground fights, or invest in the stock market to strike it rich. To Pixelia has so much to do and experience, with even more planned for later updates. The developer is constantly listening to feedback and adjusting things, fixing bugs, and just producing such an in-depth, incredible game.
In fact, since the game’s release in May, there have been about 10 updates. Some were general bug fixes, but most were some awesome QOL updates and additions to the game. You can now fully rebind keys to suit your play style. There’s a social media app your Pixelian can browse in their down time, too. Just limit that to 5 hours a day for their health! The guitar mini-game and baker mini-game were both made easier and more user friendly. Also added was storage inventory, the ever useful NPC tracking, dialogue skips, Steam Deck improvements, and more. There’s also plans for new clothes, Steam Cloud saves, being able to opt out of mini-games, plus more Steam Deck improvements.

Outbound is the coziest of open world survival crafting games you can find. Set out on a gorgeous journey set in a utopian near future. Developed by Square Glade Games, this game will have you exploring lovely views while building some fun homes. Start with a simple, empty camper van and slowly turn it into the home of your dreams through hard work. Collect resources, explore different colorful biomes, craft a variety of items, automate your processes, and build!
Use a variety of advanced technology to power your van and realize your home building goals. Collect energy from the sun, wind, water, and wind through the use of solar panels, wind turbines, and more. Your van will need this power to move around the map, after all. In Outbound, you can build on top of your van to expand your living space and maximize your energy harvesting capabilities. Paint the van to suit your tastes, add decorations, and arrange furniture to create the perfect cozy home. Then, build yourself a rooftop garden to grow plants and mushrooms to sustain yourself with. More importantly, take your time. There’s no rush in this relaxing, laid-back survival crafter!

Step into a brand new life as soon as you hop off the bus in To Pixelia. You’ve left behind your old life to begin an exciting new one doing whatever it is you desire. Carefully design your character and make choices to steer their life how you wish. Rent your first apartment, a dingy little thing, until you can upgrade to bigger and better things. Start work wherever you can just to make rent, then move into the career path you want. Become who you want to be!
The character creator lets you create whoever you want. Pick from a number of different hairstyles, facial hair, tattoos, accessories, and clothes. Even decorate your home with tons of different floors, walls, furniture, and decor options. To Pixelia lets your individual style shine through in almost every aspect. You also get to pick your career path. Start working at an entry level position like waiter, cleaner, baker, or others. Then, through dedication and hard work, you can pivot into the career path you desire. Become a famous musician, a renowned supermodel, a popular painter, or even the president. Just remember, there are hundreds of Pixelians in the city with you, and you can’t get along with everyone. Sometimes you just have to fight it out to get your point across!
The Ultimate Life Sim
I got to play To Pixelia a while back, thanks to the devs and publisher, and it really is the ultimate life sim. There’s just so much to do and accomplish. Not a moment went by where I was bored, because I could engage in small jobs or take on new hobbies or even train for a new career. Decorating my home was satisfying and easy to do. Plus, exploring the huge city by walking or using the bus system was fun all on its own. Each character you meet is unique and fun to interact with, too. You can even look forward to leaving the city for greener pastures (literally). There’s a nice farmland area you can eventually settle down on if city life becomes too much for you. So, there’s something for everyone in this unique life sim!

The name Farm Folks suggests this game will be just another farming sim to add to the list of all the farming sims out there. Don’t get me wrong, I love farming sims. They’re what I turn to at the end of a long day for some relaxation. However, developer Crytivo has made it clear that this game is far more than just your simple farming sim. In fact, it’s an immersive open-world sandbox game with adventure and RPG elements.
Experience an alternate near-future where clean energy reigns supreme and Solar Punk aesthetics are abundant. Resource management and automation have been seamlessly merged with the classic farming experience to create unique gameplay. It doesn’t stop there, though. There will also be the option to play solo or together with friends in several different modes. Relax after a long day with some farming or get together with friends to take on the PVE and PVP elements for a more exciting experience. But there’s even more than that!

The Farming Experience
Yes, Farm Folks does have farming. In fact, there are over 100 different crops for you to plant and nurture. You can even breed crops to create hybrids. You can also raise a number of different animals to collect the products they make. Produce cheese from milk and knit sweaters from yarn made of llama fur to fulfill NPC orders. Form bonds with your farm animals to make them rideable and set out on grand adventures across the different biomes of the world with your trusty steed!
You won’t be stuck with the rustic, back-breaking farm work forever, though. Utilize the flexible conveyor belts and cargo drones to automate your farm’s production. Move product across the farm via the conveyor belts while you fulfill NPC orders remotely via the drones. As you progress, you’ll unlock new tools that will help you further create an automated mega farm factory paradise. You’ll also need to carefully manage your water and electricity to ensure all processes receive adequate power. The smoother, more efficient your farm is, the better for you.
Building and Adventuring
Perhaps the most exciting feature I’ve seen from Farm Folks is the immersive building mechanic. Not all games nail this experience, but so far this game seems to. You’ll be able to build your home from the ground up and create the exact space to suit your tastes. Place flooring, walls, furniture, and decor. Make use of the extensive customization options to not only change the color of floors and walls, but choose a gloss level, uneven paint application for a rustic look, and add crown molding or baseboards. Even pick the patterns and colors for your furniture to create the ultimate cozy home look.
You can build anywhere in the world, so set out on a journey to explore the unique biomes. Find the perfect place amongst the biome-specific flora and fauna, and meet new characters while you’re at it. The dynamic weather and seasonal changes bring life to the world around you. Even uncover the lore of the world through character interactions and quest lines. Meanwhile, you can explore to your heart’s content as there is no forced sleep mechanic! Explore the great outdoors or the local town at night to see the world in a different light (literally). Or just enjoy the fact that you can work through the night on whatever goals you have. Even uncover the lore of the world through character interactions and quest lines.
Game Modes and Combat
Farm Folks aims to be truly unique by integrating more than just simple farming mechanics and exploration. You’ll be able to tailor your gaming experience using flexible game creation settings. These settings will help you create the game to suit your play style. To further cater to different play styles, you’ll be able to choose from Peaceful Mode or Survival Mode. Peaceful Mode is exactly what it sounds like. You’ll have a cozy, relaxing experience playing the game where you’ll be able to build, decorate, and farm in peace. Meet new characters and even romance NPCs while you’re at it. There are no obstacles in your way!
For the players who enjoy more of a challenge, Survival Mode requires you to manage your hunger and health as you play. You’ll also be able to go ghost hunting, catch Phantoms, or participate in the time travel PVP competition. This competitive experience is called Extraction Mode – Finite, and the global map you’ve become familiar with transforms from the beautiful world you know, into a post-apocalyptic version of itself. For this competition, you can join forces with friends in order to change the destiny of the world. Collect important materials for future use as you run around a dynamic, player-influenced map where structures you’ve built will age and transform over time.
