The developers have been hard at work since announcing My Time at Sandrock in 2020 with a new town, new characters, new construction options, new combat system, and even a multiplayer mode!
Before launching into Early Access, many updates have been recently added such as new quests, new monsters, and new NPCs. The biggest one that caught my eye is the advanced workshop customization. Unlike its predecessor, when building your workshop in this game you can place doors and windows, and even the roof yourself! Furthermore, add lights and many other decorations to the interior and exterior.
My Time at Sandrock, developed by Pathea Games, will officially release on May 26th, 2022 in Early Access on Steam here and the Epic Games Store here at $24.99 US. If you’re a Kickstarter backer, you’ll have access to the closed Beta version very soon! There’s no news on the console versions as of yet but we’ll know more after the tests! If you want to try your hands at a demo, My Time at Sandrock will have a booth at the PAX East convention on April 21st-24th, 2022, so check that out here.
Fan of both relaxing farming and engaging combat? If you’re interest in My Time at Sandrock, you should definitely check out Rune Factory 5 now!

Despite there now being a rather saturated farming simulation game market, Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town still manages to earn a place amongst popular games such as Stardew Valley and My Time at Portia. In my personal opinion, it even manages to surpass such games in certain ways due to it’s adorable simplicity. The game features a charming close knit town, harvest sprites with unique personalities, and is unburdened with too many anxiety-provoking features. ( MORE INFO HERE )

Looks like the savings season isn’t quite over yet. Some developers out there are still taking advantage this lucrative time of year. It appears that the developers of My Time At Portia have set their game as a free-to-own title on the Epic Games Store. The game will only be free until tomorrow, so act fast! Not only that, they have drastically decreased the price of the Nintendo Switch version, making it just $7.49 on The Big N’s latest console.
This move most likely comes as an attempt to increase the player base for the game right before the sequel launches. For those that may have missed it, the sequel to My Time at Portia, currently known as My Time at Sandrock, will be releasing in early access via Steam in March of next year, 2021.

Team17 is definitely one of my favorite game publishers currently in business. They have helped the production and release of some pretty amazing games throughout the years. Right now, they are having a sale on some pretty wonderful games currently available for the Nintendo Switch.
Some of the games on sale right now are obvy already in my library, but it never hurts to share the news of great deals when I see them. My Time at Portia is an absolutely amazing game and should be played by all who have not had the opportunity. Now might just be your chance, as it has been marked sown from $29.99 to $10.19. You’d be silly not to buy it at this point.
Also, both of the Overcooked games are on sale right now. The Special Edition of the original Overcooked has been marked down to $6.79, while Overcooked 2 has seen a price drop from $24.99 to $14.99. For all those that have missed out on the chance to play these whacky and whimsical cooking games, there might not be a better time to own them on this most wholesome of consoles.
If cooking games are your thing, you may also want to check out Automachef. This futuristic restaurant sim/tycoon style game is now 50% off, dropping the price from $14.99 to $7.49. A pretty great deal for a simple yet enthralling and addicting game.

These are just a few of my favorites from the Team17 sale. To see more and also have the chance to acquire the games in this list, just pop over to the sale page of the official Nintendo Website. There you will find more discounted Team17 games, as well as many others from the Nintendo Summer Games sale.

Ever Forward is a brand new game recently announced by Pathea Games. They are most renowned for having developed My Time at Portia. As many of you Portia fans already know, we can expect quite a beautifully wonderful adventure ahead with this new title.
Ever Forward is an open world style puzzle game that takes place “somewhere between reality and the imagination”. You play as Maya, and must explore the strange environment around you to unlock your memories and face your darkest fears.
The plot of the game certainly sounds just as enthralling as the graphics look. The developers mentioned having put in many painstaking hours to ensure that the puzzles live up to the “puzzle gamers” standards.
This new title by Pathea Games will release in May on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. For more information on the game, you can check out the Steam page. Don’t forget to wishlist while you are there.

Having poured many hours into Stardew Valley myself, I can certainly say that I am always stoked to find a new game that follows the same theme. There is just something so peaceful and rewarding about running your own digital farm; tending crops, feeding and loving the animals, tilling and paving for fine tuning.
While Stardew Valley has certainly the standard when it comes to simple, cute and addictive; there are many games out there that bear some resemblence and certainly deserve their time in the light. So hold on to your straw hat, cuz these are some cute farming games that just might blow you away!
