The winning games chosen by the Gamescom jury were announced during Opening Night Live last night and we here at myPotatoGameGames are so happy for everyone mentioned below! Especially some of our favorite indie games that we have been rooting for such as Planet Zoo and Concrete Genie! Gamescom Awards honor the best games and products premiering at the event that are submitted by game developers, and are reviewed by an independent international jury of experts. The winners chosen by the public have yet to be announced during a live-stream on Saturday, August 24th, 2019 (Gamescom’s last day). You can still vote for your favorites on the show-floor such as “Best Booth” or the Gamescom “Most Wanted“ if you find yourself in Colognes, Germany!
Pode, an adorable cooperative puzzle game, is developed by Henchman & Goon, an independent game studio in Bergen, Norway. If you haven’t played Pode yet, it’s about a little rock helping a fallen star find its way home. As they travel through the insides of a mysterious and magical mountain, Bulder and Glo discover an ancient sleeping world. Explore the ruins of a long lost civilization with their unique talents and abilities. Only by helping each other can these adventure companions open the secret passageways up the caverns of Mount Fjellheim.
