With Palia’s open Beta release on the horizon, and its lofty promises of a free-to-play cozy experience, I’ve gotten more and more excited at the idea of having cozy MMOs. We have a hoard of relaxing, cozy games to play these days, but sometimes you just want to have a whole community you can play together with. And now, Palia isn’t the only cozy MMO coming to the market! Loftia is another adorable MMO for the cozy gamer crowd.
A Cute Solarpunk MMO Packed With So Much To Do
Loftia is still in its early stages, but it shows great promise. Drawing inspiration from fan favorites like Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing, the game seeks to carve its own path into the genre with some familiar elements.
Set in a new, solarpunk world you’ll be able to play solo or even build your very own community of people. Loftia encourages socializing by utilizing group quests and server events. You’ll be able to celebrate events like Halloween together by playing special mini-games that will give you the chance to win prizes like wallpapers, skins, outfits, and more! Group quests will take you on adventures across breathtaking biomes with friends so you can uncover the secrets of Loftia.
Loftia allows for total customization, too. Design your character and dress them up in a number of different styles. Then, you can decorate your home to fit your aesthetic. Want to live out your cottagecore dreams? Or perhaps you want to set up the gothic home you’ve always hoped for. Maybe you even want to create a gamer’s paradise. Whatever you choose, you’re free to make your home however you wish!
While you build up the perfect set of decorations for your home, you can go out and explore the world or even settle in for some farming! Loftia has over 50 different crops you can plant and harvest. The game even focuses on sustainable efforts, so you’ll get to use a community garden or hydroponics to grow your crops. Plus, you can level up your farming by becoming a beekeeper or wine maker. And when you get tired of farming, gather resources to upcycle items! Turn an old tire into a pretty little garden planter for your home.
Plus, so much more. Loftia is absolutely packed full of things to do. Just chill with friends. Hang out with the local NPCs. Explore the world solo or with friends. Join an existing club or create your own. Even adopt a pet! You get to choose how your adventure goes.

There’s currently no release date. Loftia was successfully funded on Kickstarter so expect to see this lovely game on PC and Switch once it releases sometime this year!

Tidy Backpack is the perfect game for those of you who like to get cozy with some organizing and inventory management. In fact, that’s the entirety of the game! You have a little backpack that has limited carrying capacity. You need to arrange items to fit within the backpack’s given space. As you progress, you’ll uncover forgotten artifacts and learn fun information about the old world.
Play through 96 cozy, casual levels discovering 33 unique items in a fantasy realm in Tidy Backpack. The items were once used thousands of years ago, and are now just pieces of the past for you to unearth. Experience a cute little story as you learn about each item you find. They tell a tale of the past, and you can only begin to guess at what that tale is! Relax with a chill soundtrack and simple controls, too. This game is perfect for the casual gaming session!

Onibi is a wonderfully whimsical little adventure game where you play as the newly-born guardian spirit to a curious child. Accompany them on their wonder-filled adventure and discover your purpose in life. Explore enchanting environments. Then, discover hidden secrets and learn about your new-found abilities. Perhaps even make friends along the way!
You and your charge will explore multiple open-world areas where you’ll find tasks to complete. Each one has several ways to complete, so think outside the box and see what you can accomplish in Onibi. Leave the child in a safe place and scout out the area ahead first, but you can’t interact with the world physically as a spirit guardian. Use the child or some other host to interact physically with the world and solve puzzles. Chat with other ghosts to earn some important information. Even interact with other people, but they act differently depending on who they’re talking to!

Fairytale Furnishing by developer Challenging Games is exactly what you’re looking for. You’re furnishing and customizing homes for fairytale heroes like princesses, the hero of the story, and even the wicked witch the hero fights. You’ll even uncover the story that connects each character together as you progress through different homes!
You’ll start each home, like the princess’s tower or witch’s den, completely empty. That means you have the freedom to decorate everything as you see fit. Carefully place furniture and decor items and reveal the personalities and stories of the owner. There’s no rush in Fairytale Furnishing, though, so take your time! There aren’t any challenges to overcome, either. As you decorate each home, you’ll unlock new items and furniture to use in each home. You can even hop back to previous levels and redesign them once you have new stuff. It’s a relaxing sandbox game without constraints, after all.
So, kick back and relax with some fairytale decorating!

Hell’s Gate Cafe is an adorable little restaurant management game that you can play for free right in your browser. You play as Baabette, the cute little Baphomet-like character as she’s stuck in Hell. It’s not a fun place to be, at all, and your options are limited. To leave, your only choice is to open up a cafe, earn soul shards, and open the portal out of Hell!
So, you do just that! Run your surprisingly cozy little cafe every day in order to earn soul shards. Purchase items like coffee beans and dragons to roast those beans. An octopus who makes cookie and donut dough will help you serve even more fun treats. Then, interact with the cast of fun characters in Hell’s Gate Cafe as they show up in your cafe. Serve them freshly brewed coffee and fresh baked cookies. Even talk to some of them to learn their stories. Satisfy them, and they’ll pay you in money that you can use to buy more upgrades, but they’ll also leave you precious soul shards! Can you make it out of Hell?

Embark on a wholesome and cozy mail delivery adventure in Letter Bunny, developed by Dramatic Iceberg! You play as Anne, an adorable and small bunny who has been tasked with delivering the mail on a big island. A nasty storm recently hit the island leaving many letters and packages lost. Your job is to not only deliver the lost mail, but to do so much more around the island, too!
Explore the island and deliver the mail in creative ways. Use different tools to get the job done, too. Like the tool that lets you grab a package from down below and reel it up to you! Even glide and slide around the island to get from one place to the next. Just be sure to look around for some hidden secrets.
Delivering the mail in Letter Bunny is your top priority, but there’s no reason not to get to know the folks you deliver too, though. Help them out with some tasks or just listen to their stories and make friends. But that’s not all there is to do on the island. Go fishing, catch bugs, or even prove your skills in sled races!

Begin the game as a child who contemplates what they’ll become when they grow up. You’ll explore the different narrative paths as you decide what items to keep and which ones to throw away. Discover hidden endings, find love, experience heartbreak, and so much more all through decorating your room!
There are no wrong answers in this game. Choose which items call to you and place them where and how you want. Prefer a picture upside down? Then hang it upside down! Interact with the world around you as you play around with which items to display and which ones to throw away. Pet the cat. Turn the lights on. Decorate in the middle of the night or whenever. It’s all for you to decide and will impact the ending you get. Choose wallpapers, objects, furniture, and more to achieve whatever it is you desire!

In Cozy Grove, you play as a Spirit Scout who lives on an ever-changing island. As a scout, you spend your days wandering the island, finding hidden secrets, and helping out the inhabitants. Plus, you can go fishing, befriend the locals, and collect spirit animals. This beautifully hand-drawn game takes after Animal Crossing with its real time sync. You can complete about an hour’s worth new quest content each day, then kick back and relax with some fishing or decorating. It’s a super cozy, laid-back gaming experience.
And the developers Spry Fox LLC have an equally cozy new sequel out now! Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit is an equally gorgeous hand-drawn game with new fun. You’re still on a lovely little island, but now you must help your bear neighbors, who happen to be ghosts. The others who live on the island will also need your help. Fulfill quests for them as necessary to earn fun rewards. You can also give the islanders gifts to really show them you care!
Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit will have you gathering resources, crafting items, cooking delicious dishes, fishing, and much more on your exciting new adventure. Use your skills to craft tons of furniture and decor items to decorate the island with, too. It needs some color and a personal touch to really shine. Adopt cute animal companions while you’re out exploring, and play with them or pet them. With so much to do and so many fun islanders to encounter, it;ll be hard to be lonely in this adorable follow-up game!
