Ashwood Valley is a super cute little farming game where you play as one of two siblings. Luna and Draco are capable of casting magic spells, but find themselves in a bit of a situation when one such spell goes wrong. A portal to another beautiful world opens up, but also turns one sibling into a cat. It’s up to you to not only restore your new cabin, grow magical crops, and befriend adorable animals, but to also find a way to reverse the cat curse!
DLC
Today, a handful of equally cute DLC dropped for the game, too! You can pick up the Cozy Comforts Style pack to get some comfy winter wear. A warm hat and fluffy jacket will keep you comfortable all throughout the winter season. The Sunny Summer Style pack gives you some overalls for getting field work done while also looking stylish.
Ashwood Valley also released the Draco’s Nook DLC that gives you bedroom decor that reflects Draco’s personal style. You’ll receive a forest green bed set, egg incubator, a critter terrarium, and various other items based on animals giving off that cool explorer and animal enthusiast vibe. Then there’s Luna’s Nook DLC which covers the bedroom in lush greenery to reflect Luna’s green thumb. Admire the pretty flowers sitting on your table or enjoy the small greenhouse full of plants!
Last but not least is the Seaside Stories DLC. This pack not only adds cute swimwear options, but gives you a whole new quest to complete. This quest is summer exclusive and lets you meet a friendly mermaid who boosts your max energy. Collect seashells that each have a chance to give you a pearl, too. Even display your collection of items on the fisherman’s seasonal shelves.

Explore the City and Follow Your Dreams
Forget mundane 9-to-5s. To Pixelia‘s career system is anything but ordinary. You’ll start with a basic job like waiting tables, cleaning the hotel, or baking just so you can pay rent and take care of your basic needs. You do have to eat and drink, after all. There are several different career paths you can aim for. If you enjoy music, go buy an instrument at Melody Square and join an impromptu jam session to practice. Start a band, compose music, and produce some albums, too. Once your music has gained popularity, you can perform at concerts and earn the big bucks from royalties.
If art is more your speed, head on over to Starlight Studios where you can unleash your inner artist through sculpting, painting, or other forms of art. Inkwell Library lets you practice your writing skills so one day you can write a bestselling masterpiece. Or join the Pixel Basketball league and become a famous basketball player. Make use of Pixelia Gymnasium to lift weights and prepare for your career in boxing. You can even dip your toes into the political scene and build a campaign. Hire a team of assistants and PR professionals, deliver inspiring speeches, and get elected as president so you can pass laws, raise taxes, and enact legislation. Your choices do affect public opinion, so choose wisely!
What’s even better than the number of job options throughout the game, is that To Pixelia took things further and have made working an in-depth feature. Jobs aren’t something that just happen to you. They have mini-games you can play in order to actually work the job. For example, as a baker, you will complete a mini-game to knead the dough necessary for recipes. You get to engage with your career choices instead of reading about them. If the city life gets too hectic, trade skyscrapers for the lush countryside where you can get back to your cozy gaming roots and farm the days away. Tend to your crops, care for adorable animals, and live a slower paced life.
And So, So Much More
You can live the life of a regular citizen if you choose, but you can also choose to rob banks, hack computers, or join a gang. There’s even gambling at the casino where you can play blackjack and the slot machines. Bet on underground fights, or invest in the stock market to strike it rich. To Pixelia has so much to do and experience, with even more planned for later updates. The developer is constantly listening to feedback and adjusting things, fixing bugs, and just producing such an in-depth, incredible game.
In fact, since the game’s release in May, there have been about 10 updates. Some were general bug fixes, but most were some awesome QOL updates and additions to the game. You can now fully rebind keys to suit your play style. There’s a social media app your Pixelian can browse in their down time, too. Just limit that to 5 hours a day for their health! The guitar mini-game and baker mini-game were both made easier and more user friendly. Also added was storage inventory, the ever useful NPC tracking, dialogue skips, Steam Deck improvements, and more. There’s also plans for new clothes, Steam Cloud saves, being able to opt out of mini-games, plus more Steam Deck improvements.

Lakeside Bar is another great game that sits at the bottom of your screen. This time, you run a cozy little bar with a lovely outdoor area to enjoy. Set up tables for your customers to relax at. Stock different beverages like beer, wine, and cocktails. Even have food like tacos and nachos available for visitors to indulge in. As long as you keep the bar stocked, they’ll keep buying drinks and generate you money. Use that hard-earned money to improve the bar!
Hire staff to help take orders, serve customers, and clean messes in Lakeside Bar. Then, you can kick back and relax at the lake fishing to your heart’s content. Sell your catches for a special currency to buy some fun decorations like plants for inside and outside the bar. You can also play bar games like darts to earn a third type of currency to buy even more decor. Let the game run on its own, and get some work done while the bar staff run things for you, too. There’s no need to constantly manage everything yourself, which is great if you want a game that only needs some checking in!

Cardboard Town by Stratera Games is a vibrant roguelite city-building card game. In front of you is a board where your new town will pop-up as you play. To build the town, you’ll use your money in order to deploy build cards. Play action cards to take care of events that randomly show up. And quest cards are for making your population happy.
Make sure you appropriately manage your utilities like electricity, water, environment, and safety, too. Better management in Cardboard Town leads to a better city with a higher population, and your population determines your income! Without money, you can’t play cards. So carefully balance building, upgrades, and events to achieve the best city you can. If you can’t handle disasters or fail to manage things, you’ll receive a Red Alert. Get three of those, and it’s game over. However, each run will unlock new cards and better stats so you have more chances to beat your high score!

Cottonville is an extremely adorable life sim where you operate a sweet little atelier. A friend offered you the opportunity to leave behind the hustle and bustle of Friglight, and it turns out that Cottonville is just what you needed. The peaceful town gives you the chance to start over and build your career as a sewing master. You’ll spend your days wandering the beautiful open spaces looking for resources to collect. Plant useful flowers and textile plants to harvest and use for your craft. And of course, there’s sewing!
There are over 60 different clothing patterns to make with different color options for each. Carefully create each item and sell it to the perfect customer who visits your shop. Sell pieces most suited to a customer to earn the highest amount of money. You can even get creative with your own fashion sense as you unlock new wardrobe pieces over time. Show off your style with fun hairstyles and colors, clothing, and eyes.

There is no release date yet for Cottonville. The Kickstarter is live, however! So, if you want to support this adorable game, then check it out over there.
