Step into the shoes of the dutiful gardener Golembert for this pretty indie farming sim called Golembert. The last thing he remembers is the sound of cannons before something slammed into his head, knocking him out. 100 years later, he wakes up on a deserted island and gets right back to gardening! Join him as he beautifies the area, meets new friends, and more.

This lovely game is a garden management game with an overarching storyline. You get to build your dream garden using a variety of pots, fields, garden beds, and decorations. Create your ideal lush landscape by carefully caring for each plant and removing weeds. There’s more to Golembert than gardening, though. Renovate your run-down island, brew potions, discover recipes, and help your fellow inhabitants! Perhaps those inhabitants will even become your friends. While gardening is the prime objective and favorite activity, Golembert can’t help but contemplate what happened to him 100 years ago. Work to uncover those secrets and many more to restore peace!

    Release Date

Golembert is coming to Steam, but there is no release date listed yet. You can add it to your Wishlist, though!

Botany Manor is another relaxing gardening game perfect for the cozy gamer.

It’s December! And you know what that means, right? Christmas is almost here! My favorite holiday is Halloween, but Christmas is a close second. It’s the perfect time of year to get comfy and cozy with a good blanket, cup of hot chocolate, and a lovely video game. I’ve gone hunting for some great Christmas-themed games to share with you all this season, too!

    Snowman-Building Fun

Everybody Wham Wham is one such Christmas-themed game I’ve come across. This one comes from developers Bonte Avond, who also made the funny Once Upon a Jester, and also has those fun storybook looking visuals. This time, it’s a whimsical story-driven adventure where you compete to build the best snowman!

You’ll go head-to-head with two other competitors to compete for the winning spot. Just make sure you pay attention to the criteria and build within the time limit. Everybody Wham Wham will have you hand-rolling your snowman, as well as decorating it. Choose from 60 different decorations to impress the judges. And if you do it right, you might just score a perfect 10! Then, hang out with a cast of quirky characters while you attend karaoke night, drink a hot cup of cocoa, or listen to a fun campfire song with them. Not everything is quite as it seems, either. Talk with Wham Wham the snowman to see if you can’t unravel the reason why the festival is held and what it is he’s hiding from contestants!

    Release Date

Everybody Wham Wham is currently available on Steam and Itch.io for you to enjoy whenever!

Speaking of Christmas, do you need some ACNH inspiration?

It’s October, which means it’s time to get into the spirit of Halloween! Or at least get into the spirit of fall, if you’re not big on Halloween. Either way, Book of Hours is the perfect place to start. It’s cozy and charming, with a dose of mystery. There’s no combat, and it’s not scary so those of us who are scaredy cats can enjoy it too!

In Book of Hours, you play as a Librarian who has chosen a solitary life full of books and research. Your library, the famous Hush House, was once a bastion of knowledge. For fifteen centuries it stood as a place for patrons to gather and learn. However, a fire wiped out the book collection and the former Librarian simply disappeared. Now, you spend your days peacefully organizing books and helping visitors seeking information.

You’re also on the lookout for answers. Researching the occult stones around you, you’re determined to uncover the mysteries of history and that fire. Book of Hours offers an elegant, but melancholic experience as you spend time crafting inks and other tools to use in your day-to-day. You’ll even get to decorate your new home, study the nine Wisdoms, more!

    Available Now

Book of Hours is available now on Steam and Gog!
