Nintendo is starting to roll out it’s plans for the E3 this year. The big N has just opened it’s E3 website, and announced some big plans for Smash Bros. Switch and Splatoon 2. According to Nintendo, a Super Smash Bros. Switch Invitation and Splatoon 2 World Championships event will be held during this years E3.
The invitational will bring together a select number of players to compete in Smash Bros. Switch. Nintendo has hosted a similar event during it’s E3 back in 2014 for the Wii U and 3DS titles. Nintendo could be having big plans for this years E3, given the huge space they reserved at this years convention.
The Nintendo Switch also fell back in it’s popularity during the month of February, falling behind Playstation 4 and Xbox One in sales for the first time since it’s launch. An indication that Nintendo may not be able to rely on indie and 3rd party support entirely. Fans are waiting for Animal Crossing, Metroid, Smash Bros, Pokemon, Pikmin 4 and other popular games to come to Switch.
