[dropcap]A[/dropcap]ccording to a user on 4chan and various other sources, Sony is apparently working on a sequel to the famous Playstation All Stars Battle, a game in direct competition with Nintendos Smash Bros. The last video game in the series was released for Playstation 3 and PS Vita in November 2012.

The user, and the bulletin board have correctly predicted video games in the past, and rumors turned out to be true more than once, i.e Bloodborne was first heard about on 4chan as well – by no means this is an indication that this report is true, but it is likely Sony is working on a sequel, given the huge success of the first game.

According to the report the game is set to release sometime in 2018, with a first look at the new All Stars Battle later this year. It is expected to come with 30 playable characters to be played across 20 new stages. Some of the characters are Crash, Spyro, Lara Croft, Cloud fro Final Fantasy VII and many others. All Stars Battle Royal was criticized for it’s lack of content, something that Sony could easily improve upon on in the next installment.

Sony has made no comment on the rumors of a new PlayStation All Stars video game.
