[dropcap]A[/dropcap]nimal Crossing has become one of Nintendos most popular franchises. The last installment of the series Animal Crossing: new Leaf was released in 2012, and has recently received a major update. Fans of the series have since waited for a new game. Even though Nintendo hinted a new Animal Crossing coming to Nintendo Switch, no official announcement has been made. However, it is safe to assume that a new Animal Crossing is in development and ready to be unveiled in the not so distant future.
Just like any other fan, we are most impatient to see what a new Animal Crossing would be like. We have gone ahead an listed 5 of our biggest wishes for a new AC game. We would love to hear what your biggest wish for a new Animal Crossing would be – leave it in the comments below!
Sharing a town with your friends. On the Nintendo 3DS version you are currently able to share a save game, and have a second player move into your town. The second player can of course not be the major, and playing simultaneously is not possible. In the next Animal Crossing installment ( possibly on the Nintendo Switch ? ) we would love to see the option to share a town with a friend. You would be choosing a friend to move into your town. The player will be able to occupy a home, decorate their house, and contribute to your town. It would be very similar to inviting a friend over, except this friend can actually feel right at home, and if you ever want to visit them, you would just have to walk over and knock on their door. It would give a lot more purpose and motivation for players to visit other towns, if they can actually live a happy Animal Crossing life in your world too. Think of it as your vacation home in the world of another Animal Crossing player.
Run your very own store. Being a Major in Animal Crossing: New Leaf is a lot of fun, but what keeps us from actually running our own store and giving Tom Nook some competition? Run the store and sell what you have! Your Furniture collection, Fruits, treasures from the island and more. There could be an option to leave the store open even when you are not playing the game. Giving players the option to brows your inventory and purchase from your shop, whenever they want. This could eventually become the ultimate Animal Crossing trading market. This would be similar to how the dream codes work, so you would not have to worry about any harm being done to your town while you are away. However, if you do sell some of your items, you would be collecting the bells next time you return to your village.
The option to decorate your town as you please for any season or holiday is something we would love to see! Trees with Christmas lights in winter are great, it would be so nice to go all out and beyond, and add your own touch to it. Place a bench, a flower pot or whatever you wish anywhere you like, pretty much like floor tiles.
Increase the size of your village slightly allowing more villagers to move into your town, and giving more room to decorate, and create the town of your dreams. Especially with all the Amiibos players are collecting, it would be great to have more of your favorite villagers live in your town at the same time.
These are some of our biggest wishes and dreams for a new Animal Crossing. We would love to hear what you would like to see in the next AC game. The Animal Crossing Mobile game is set to release in 2017, and is supposed to connect to a Nintendo Console based AC game according to Nintendo. While nothing has been confirmed, the frequent releases of the mobile version could hint at Nintendo holding back until they are read to unveil the Nintendo Switch Animal Crossing that will go along with the mobile version. We will learn more in the near future.
