If you played New Leaf you might remember the ability to customize and/or create your very own textures in the game thanks to the handy stylus that comes with the 3DS. New Horizons could be seeing a similar feature!
Animal Crossing Custom texture
New Leaf has the option to draw textures that allow you to create your own unique clothing or even tiles to line a path. This feature has been widely popular with players still sharing new textures via the QR code function to date.
Take a look at just one beautiful example of a player creating a bridge and small river just by drawing custom textures.
Nintendo Switch Stylus
Nintendo just announced the first official Nintendo Switch Stylus, a devices that could allow for drawing on the consoles touch sensitive screen. The company has not released any information or hints of Animal Crossing New Horizons Custom Texture actually being part of the game.
Then again what did Nintendo say about Animal Crossing New Horizons besides crafting and the fact that it is indeed an Animal Crossing game? The latest wave of news that revealed the box-art and commercial raised even more questions as it showed multiple islands and even some new characters never seen in the franchise before.
The release time frame of the stylus is interesting as it is now available just a few months away from New Horizons release date. Custom textures in Animal Crossing is still something I would love to see and would truly miss if Nintendo chooses to leave it out.
