Nintendo finally announced an improved Nintendo Switch Model.
Nintendo finally lifted the curtain and revealed the long rumored New Nintendo Switch Model. The improved version of the console released back in 2017 packs a bunch of new features to improve gaming on the go as well as in docked mode on the big screen.
The new OLED screen is bigger than the one found in the current model. It is 7 inch and makes the black bezel (frame) around the current screen much slimmer. Besides the screen being almost an inch bigger it also packs OLED technology which promises rich, bright and crystal clear colors making playing colorful games like Animal Crossing New Horizons on the go even more crisp, and detailed resulting in an overall prettier gameplay experience.
The Nintendo Switch OLED looks similar to the original model other than the bigger screen but it comes with one more change on the back. The stand is now the entire length of the console itself, making it more stable. In addition it is now an adjustable stand so you can choose if you want to sit the console upright or flatter depending on what game you play.
Nintendo Switch OLED – Release Date
Nintendo announced that the Nintendo Switch OLED will be released on October 8th for $349.99, the same day Metroid Dread launches as well. Take a look at the announcement trailer for the new Switch and see all the new features in action.
