[dropcap]N[/dropcap]intendo announced today that a new Kirby game is in development. The game is due to release in 2018 at an unspecified date. The game is currently titled as “Kirby” but that is subject to change. The game is exclusive to the Switch.
The short gameplay video shown at E3 suggests that the new Kirby Switch game will support up to four players for co-op platforming. Kirby, in addition to sucking in enemies and acquiring their powers, now has the option to turn enemies into allies that can be controlled by either the CPU or a real-life player. The multiplayer that Kirby could offer would be a great fit for the Switch.
