[dropcap]M[/dropcap]ario Kart 8 Deluxe is almost here, with the release set for Friday, April 28th. Over the course of the last week we received a lot of new information about what is new in Mario Kart on the Switch. While the game already loaded up quite fast on the Wii U, GameXplain has taken on a test to get the exact numbers for the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Loading Times on the two different systems.
According to their test, the game takes 15.55 Seconds to load on the Wii U, compared to only 9.91 seconds on the Switch. The hybrid console seems to cut loading times nearly in half. However, 9.91 seconds can only be achieved when the game has been downloaded from the eShop and installed on the consoles internal memory. A cartridge version of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will still take a little longer to load and comes in at 13.58 seconds.

That is an impressive difference between Switch Digital and Wii U Physical. It would be interesting to see if Nintendo ever offers for the Switch for some games what they did on the Wii U for Xenoblade Chronicles X: optional download packages for the physical version to boost game load times.
