There is finally a release date for the remastered version of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is an action adventure RPG with some pretty cute graphics. It definitely focused a little more on cutesy art than. any other installment in the Final Fantasy series (unless you count any game involving Chocobos). Crystal Chronicles was originally released for the Nintendo Gamecube in North America on February 9th 2004. Now, the official remaster will be released for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, iOS and Android on January 23rd, 2020.
In Crystal Chronicles, you have the classic goal of helping an entire planet stay alive. Nothing new for the Final Fantasy universe, other than not having been on a Nintendo Console since Final Fantasy VI. You get to create a custom character in this one, and it goes as far as selecting gender and class. The goal is to collect myrrh from rare trees so that you may help fuel the crystals that power the planet. You will cruise with a party, which can be your real friends thanks to the multiplayer function. Explore the world in search of dungeons that contain the rare myrrh trees.

I have the original and a few years ago bought spare GBA SPs to be able to finally play it. Ran into the issue of charging and playing together and keeping a group of us interested in playing it all the way through. Got a few chapters in (not as far as I got when I bought it at release) before I hit the glitch with the Wii corrupting the large capacity GameCube memory cards. Sigh

Ouch! Honestly never played it. More into the core FF. Currently replaying FFVII before the remake releases. Probably do the same for 8 & 9. If CC remastered turns out to be good, I’ll def give it a try.
