Remember the charm and beauty of the 2D Pokemon games? They were some of my favorites growing up, and the ones I return to when I want to replay a Pokemon game. And in recent years, there have been some great Pokemon-like creature collectors to come from indie developers like Coromon and Cassette Beasts. Now, there’s Fay Keeper (from developer Blue Gravity Games, creator of Little Sim World), an enchanting addition to the genre!
Step into the beautiful world of The Faylands, a kingdom full of ancient magic and fantastic creatures called Fays. You play as the Keeper and you have the unique ability to capture, train, and evolve Fays! So, set out on a nostalgic, but extraordinary adventure to master the art of Fay Keeping. Even conquer all the Colosseums and become the champion of The Faylands!
As you traverse gorgeous lands of Fay Keeper, discover and collect over a hundred different Fays. Each creature possesses unique abilities for you to utilize, and will become stronger with training. They’ll help you face other wild Fays so you can collect them, and you can even engage in a dynamic battle system against other Keepers with them. In each battle, you’ll need to manage your Fay’s energy, life, and status effects in order to come out victorious. Utilize your own status effects, weather, and elemental types for best results, too. Ultramorph your Fays into stronger versions of themselves during battle, and unleash Overcharge moves to really pack a punch and become the champion!

Release Date
So, if you’ve been looking to return to that nostalgic 2D creature collector style, but with a fresh new face, this game is worth a Wishlist! Fay Keeper is planning to release on Steam, though there is no release date set just yet.
