Chef RPG, the beautiful, highly engaging restaurant management game, is getting another huge update soon. In fact, it’s the largest update to date! For those unfamiliar with the game, you play as a young chef who must revive a once-famous restaurant, Le Sequoia. Even the town, White Ash Harbor, has seen better days, but reviving the restaurant will revive the town. Hunt, harvest, and shop for the freshest ingredients. Serve the tastiest dishes and a diverse menu. Even befriend the quirky locals (some of whom are romanceable). And, of course, build your unique story!

    Tidehaven Update

The upcoming update for Chef RPG is called Tidehaven. In this big update, you’ll have the chance to visit a brand new area. Take a trip across the ocean to a fishing outpost situated on a rocky outcrop. This new outpost is called Tidehaven, and features a brand new storyline with several new quests. There will also be a brand new romanceable character! That’s not all, though.

Inside Tidehaven, you’ll find Fish Farms that you can manage. Those farms will produce seafood for your restaurant. That means no more scouring the shops for the perfect seafood ingredients. And every year, the outpost hosts the Midsummer Feast. It’s a two-day festival where you can run a food stall. Compete against other teams to see who can earn the most tickets by the end of the festival! The update will also include new restaurant features, QoL improvements, and other fixes, too.

    Release Date

You can find Chef RPG on Steam now. The Tidehaven update is expected to release on August 21st. That’s a week from today! So, if you haven’t gotten this lovely game yet, now’s the perfect time!

There are only a handful of villagers, but they have such interesting personalities and back stories. Plus, they’re super welcoming! Even gather in town for festivals and events to truly feel like a member of the community.

    What’s New

And with the V1.1.1 update, there’s even more to enjoy about Halcyon Days at Taoyuan! There are 20 new types of trees and related craftables available, too. Plus, 20 new ceramic vessels and related craftables, creating over 2,000 combinations of vessels and flower arrangements. You have 10 types of bamboo to plant and a bamboo processing table to make furniture. You can now build large landscaping furniture like fish ponds and pavilions to really liven up the outside of your home. Or try out one of the 9 new floors and furniture pieces inside for more decorating fun!

Plus, there are 224 new gift-giving dialogues, 339 new daily dialogues from non-romanceable NPCs, and 340 new daily dialogues from romanceable NPCs! The developers are really fleshing out NPC interactions, with a note that more after-marriage dialogue is on their list for a later update. There’s a ton more to this update, like directly replacing low-level chests with high-level chests, better controller support, and updated logic for mini-games and other parts of the overall game. A lot of love has gone into this game to make it so dang cozy!

June of 2024 brought cozy gamers a quirky, loveable city builder called Go-Go Town that is just full of fun. In the game, you are unceremoniously dropped off in a town that has seen much better days. In fact, it was once a bustling tourist town, but now it doesn’t see much of anything anymore. Tourists don’t visit, and people don’t even live there anymore. TownCo. wrangled you into some sort of deal where you become the mayor of this town to revive it totally. That means you not only have creative license to decorate and arrange it how you like, but you also need to manage residents, resources, and so, so much more!

The last two years have seen some awesome things added to Go-Go Town: new vehicles, online co-op, emotes, decorations, and way more. There have even been fun seasonal events to celebrate real-world holidays like Halloween, Lunar New Year, and Valentine’s Day. Of course, there have been bug fixes and QOL updates, too. The developers have done an incredible job with the game, and they’re not done yet. 1.0 releases July 16th, bringing even more awesome content to give cozy gamers the best of the best.

    1.0 Features

The first thing to know about the 1.0 release of Go-Go Town is that your early access saves will not be compatible. You won’t lose those saves and can still play on them, but they will not be 1.0 saves. That said, starting over will be worth it to get to see all the changes. There will be two different modes to choose from. Story Mode to experience the story and progression of the game as is intended, and Creative Mode, where you can flex your creative muscles. Creative Mode is perfect for testing out layouts and decorations before totally committing to something on a Story Mode playthrough!

For all of you collector types, rejoice, because Go-Go Town will have treasure hunting. That means, as you’re wandering through town collecting wood or stone, you may come across some unique treasures, fish, and bugs. You can then display them in the Town Hall. Enjoy a revamped tech tree, reworked EGO, and town economy. Plus, there’s going to be upgraded progression and challenges to bring even more fun to the table. You can also look forward to a vehicle garage (to store all our cool vehicles??) and off-road driving. Who doesn’t want to go crazy across the back country? There will be new shops to build, recipes to craft, and a totally revamped tutorial to make learning the game even easier.

    Release Date

Over the coming week, there will be more specific information released on what’s coming to Go-Go Town in the 1.0 release. This update drops July 16th on Steam, which is just about a week away!

Coral Island is a gorgeous farming sim set on a beautiful island. You are a farmer building your legacy through growing crops, raising adorable farm animals, nurturing relationships, and more. There’s a little more to the island than the usual farm sim, though. Mermaids are real, but so is the very real threat of ocean pollution! So, help clean up the ocean while you catch fish, capture bugs, and gather resources. Get to know over 70 neighbors and date 25 of them. Liven up the town with useful community projects and expand the museum’s displays. Even participate in lively local festivals where you can play fun mini games. Whatever you choose to do, it’s your story to write and your life to cultivate!

“Ocean & Kisses” Brings More Content, Better Improvements

Since its release, Coral Island has steadily pushed out updates that are chock-full of new content and QoL improvements. The 1.3 update is no different. The Merfolk Festival is brand new and ready for you in the summer. Swim down to the Merfolk Kingdom and see what unique stalls are open.  We finally get to date Agung and Raina. Agung is the charming gatekeeper of the Merfolk kingdom. He’s not actually looking for a relationship, but put in the time and effort, his mind can be changed. Raina is also a lovely character who came to the island on Pufferfish Corp’s payroll for the steady income. And like Agung, she requires a little more effort to romance.

The “Ocean & Kisses” update focuses a lot on the relationship system and making it less one-sided. Now, you aren’t the only one approaching the single dateables. They’ll approach you and ask you on dates, too. Anniversaries are now acknowledged and meant to be celebrated. Talk to your spouse to see the special anniversary dialogue and receive a 2x mastery EXP buff for the day. Plus, gift points are doubled. But don’t think you can do the bare minimum for your relationship! Ignore your spouse for too long, and not only will they get jealous, but they’ll start seeking your attention. They have feelings, too, you know! Or, if you prefer to marry one of your fellow players, you can now do so underwater.

Coral Island has also gifted up more character slots. You can have up to 10 characters to play around with. If you want to make more characters, simply delete old save files. Manual saves are live, too. That means you can save anywhere, any time! And if you manually save into multiple save slots, you can effectively date and marry every NPC (please give us a divorce option!). Auto-saves occur when you enter buildings, mines, dive sites, or teleport.

1.3 Isn’t Just About Romance and Game Saves

As great as new romance candidates and spousal interactions are, new color variants for animals are so exciting. You’ll unlock all color variants at Rank A, but there are now rainbow cows and chickens! So cute! They have a chance to produce Starlet Milk and Starlet Eggs if you take really good care of them, too. Go pick up an aquarium, insectarium, and flower vases to really liven up your home. Spend some time relaxing, watching the fish swim around, or bugs wander. The Sawee can be sent off to hibernate.

As for other improvements in Coral Island, festival pamphlets have been revamped to look better and be easier to read. The Starlet Display at Harvest Festival components can now be clicked to add instead of being clicked and dragged. You can now hold buttons instead of constantly clicking them, which makes tending crops WAY easier. There’s a return icon for when you make an oopsie and buy the wrong item or too many of one thing at the shops. Plus, there are trap markers on the map, new hangout spots (Tree Planting Festival Area, Observing Wildlife Animals), better heart event tracking, house storage increases as you upgrade the house, and all NPCs have pajamas. Discover recipes around the island and in the ocean. The merfolk now have speech bubbles. Improve Town Rank A flow, and hangouts being available in different weather.

And SO much more! If you want to look into the details and check out the small Q&A from the devs, go take a look at the Steam page’s news.

    Release Date

Coral Island’s “Ocean & Kisses” official release is coming soon, but has no set date. It’s available for a limited open beta test on Steam until May 21st, though. So, go try it out early if you want! Right-click the game in your Steam Library -> Properties -> Game Versions & Betas -> select public beta branch.

Chef RPG is a beautiful culinary adventure set in a lovely pixel art world. You recently became the owner of a derelict restaurant called Le Sequoia, once managed by a world-famous chef. Even the town of White Ash Harbor has seen better days. Your job is to not only prove yourself as a chef and rocket Le Sequoia back to fame, but to restore White Ash Harbor, too. Get to know several fantastic characters and even fall in love. Hunt, fish, harvest, and buy ingredients to create the tastiest dishes around to prove yourself as a chef. You have big shoes to fill, after all!

    Flavors Update

This major Chef RPG update features some excellent general improvements and fixes, but it also includes so much more! For one, the player’s home has been overhauled. The house is located just past Le Sequoia, which is convenient! It’s not just for sleeping, though. You can also conduct culinary research there. Visit your kitchen and place the ingredients within the fridge. Once you have enough ingredients ready, use the central table to begin research. There are some specialized research facilities to unlock that will become extensions of your home. Sleep is necessary, but all of your culinary research will help you become a renowned chef.

Furthermore, there are new ingredient makers to use and qualities for the dishes you make. The Chocolate Maker and Soup Vat blueprints can now be unlocked from the new standard research tree. You can also unlock a Cheese Maker and Cream Churner through research. Making Cheese and Cream requires Milk, a new consumable (not an ingredient!) you can buy from shops and vending machines. Dishes you cook now have new qualities. There is Flavors and Temperature. These qualities will be determined by which ingredients you use, but only a few quests use them for now.

You’ll encounter the Sea Traders, boat-fairing shops, on certain days of the week in Chef RPG. Run (you can do that now!) down to the docks on Tuesdays to find the veggie seller and on Wednesdays for the junk seller. Saturdays and Sundays, you’ll find the SS Ambrose. This large trading ship has a furniture store where you’ll find new furniture items, a seed seller, an ingredients seller, and a rare items shop. Also aboard the SS Ambrose is the brand new romanceable character Sahim. Just note that the romance system is still a work in progress, but you can still get to know this tatted-up cutie. There are some new character quests you can complete that serve as the first part of their personal stories. You can check out the Steam news for details (with spoilers) on how to access those quests.

    Release Date

The Flavors Update was released today for everyone to play. Now is a great time to pick up Chef RPG and play through this lovely game! Pick it up today on Steam.
