Specialized Animal Crossing tanuki statues for all!
Starting last night at 8p.m. (myPotatoGamesTime), Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp started giving away Tom Nook-ish tanuki statues to all those who log in between now and April 30th. The adorable little pudgy statue is the perfect adornment to any camp, and is a cute fit for the current holiday. With a slightly braggadocios description (with a mention that his statue is quite a trendy model), Tom Nook himself unveils the fish-packing, apron-toting idol with the fervor we’ve come to expect.
The tanuki, or Japanese raccoon dog, has long been seen as having magical powers, and a reign over all animals in nature. It makes sense, then, that Tom Nook would be the boss of AC, and eventually get his own tanuki statue. We can thank our lucky stars that we got an adorably cute rendition on such a silly occasion! Though loathe to give it away for free, we can be sure that Tom Nook is excited to share his visage with all.

This is too cute! I need to get back into this game!

It is my first interaction with Animal Crossing, and I find it quite pleasant. All the items and characters are so cute! I am super excited to see what the future of animal crossing holds.

I have such a love/hate relationship with this game… it used to comfort me, when the real world was just a little bit too harsh. I could sink into this familiar feeling of animal crossing… but pocket camp is just so stressing? so much to achieve, to gain in a short time, to miss and very few relaxing things. Grinding for the requiered items for a quest gets really repetitive after a while and simply is no fun for me…
So, something that brought me comfort morphed slowly to something that stressed me. Even if the things are cute, the music nice, the events sweet… I dont want to be there anymore. Its super sad, cause I WANT to enjoy it, but it stresses me… So, yeah 🙁 I hope we will get animal crossing for switch soon. But nor rushed, cause they should take their time to make a really good game.

I usually just open it once or twice per day to day dailies, participate in events, and share kudos. Every now and that I see an item that I kinda need, and then comes the grind. But it’s not so often that it becomes tedious. I’m sorry that AC:PC couldn’t keep you stoked, and hope that the Switch title lives up to all expectations. (:

After Pom Poko I can never look at Tanooki the same.
