Little Witch in the Woods is a fantasy role playing game where you get to live the life of a witch. The ability to use magic always adds such a special component to any game, especially adorable sim-life games like this one.
You play as Ellie, a little witch that has just come to a new town, and you are set to be a part of a “witch’s house”. Only, when you arrive, it appears that the town is near empty, and the witch’s house is in disrepair.
Your ultimate goal is to mastery witchery, by learning potions as an apprentice at the witches house. You must explore the region to acquire all that you need to create whatever potion is required. There are many different things throughout the world that you can collect for potion making, including taking the fur off some adorable little bouncing creatures.
The land before you is a magical and mystical place, full of unique experiences to be had. The inhabitants of the town are varied creatures, all with their own stories to tell, and little additions for your adventure.
little Witch in the Woods is currently available on steam early access and is also coming to Xbox Game pass in early 2023.

We’ve been keeping a close eye on their progress, and now we finally have an official Steam Early Access launch date! Don’t worry if you don’t have a PC, last year Microsoft announced that Little Witch in the Woods will be coming to Xbox Game Pass as a “Day One” release!
Play as an apprentice witch named Ellie and settle down in an enchanted forest! In Little Witch in the Woods, you can cast spells, craft potions, befriend creatures, fish, explore new areas, and find magical items! Seriously, anyone else super excited to look like Hermoine Granger and go catching some mandrakes?
The Steam Early Access Date is just around the corner so if you don’t want to miss it, you can Wishlist the game here. SUNNY SIDE UP have said that their intention is to have the full version of the game ready for release sometime in 2023. Presumably, that is when we’ll see the game on Xbox.
For those that may have missed it, Little Witch in the Woods is an adorable little life sim in the making that lets you play as a young witch that lives, you guessed it, in the woods. Spend your days meeting and befriending creatures, collecting potion ingredients, and generally becoming a better and more powerful witch overall. Now, the developers have just released a small demo of the alpha version of the game as a part of the Steam Next Festival. The demo gives players a chance to live the life of Ellie, even if only for a brief moment. The developers have been working very hard to make sure that Little Witch is everything they want, and everything that players will want.
To check out the demo for yourself, head over to their Steam page now. The demo was a little difficult to find, but if you click the link, look on the right side or where it says “Planned Release Date: TBA” and the demo link is just beneath the area for, “Is this game relevant to you?”

The wonderful folks over at Wholesome Games actually put together a lengthy video of their experience with the demo, and the game looks totally cute and amazing.

The developers recently invited myPotatoGames to check out their game at the Busan Indie Connect Festival, and you can bet your bottom dollar that there is a demo review coming very soon. Until then, we have been given permission to share some new details that the developers have released for the festival.
The developers have released a description of their game in their own words, which I’d like to share here.
” ‘Little Witch in the Woods’ is a relaxing game to experience Witch’s daily life in fantasy world. Our team has focused on “Witch’s daily life”, and so this game don’t have a grand story but many small touching stories which we can encounter in our daily lives. We have been and will try hard to convey emotion and joy.
The various NPCs each have their own unique stories and quests that help the player become immersed in the game. The player will meet more NPCs as game progress, who will settle in the newly improved village. If you can win the trust of the characters, you can also hear their secret stories. “
As previously mentioned, the developers of Little Witch have given us access to their game, and a ton of new details will be coming very soon.

The most adorable life sim game where you get to play as a little witch living in the woods has yet another super cute trailer. Ellie, the little witch, has to learn everything she can about witchcraft to become the best possible witch she can be. The new trailer gives a closer look at what to expect from this upcoming epic indie game.
The trailer not only shows what the upcoming game will look like, but also gives a sneak peak at some details that we weren’t privy to yet. The end of the trailer shows a small snippet where Ellie is interacting with a cat. Then the same cat is shown chilling by the house at the end of the video. So it looks like we will all get our own kitty companion in the game. I’d call that the perfect addition to any witchery game!
Not only that, but the developers have now confirmed that the game will be releasing in 2021. We knew the date wasn’t too close, but at least now we know for sure that the game will be ready next year. Still no word on whether or not it will come to Switch. When I asked the developers, they stated only that the game will come to Switch if all goes well. Fingers crossed on that front.

Sunny Side Up, the developers of Little Witch in the Woods, have been super busy as of late. Always working hard on their game, they also recently revealed some new goodies when they took part in the Wholesome Direct by Wholesome Games. Many games were shared in the direct, but none quite so exciting as the new footage of Little Witch.
So, we did get a new trailer not that long ago. However, the developers recently announced that they will be releasing another new trailer when they launch their game on Tumblbug, the Korean alternative for Kickstarter.
They also announced that there will be a demo released alongside the trailer. It seems that the demo and trailer will both be a part of the crowdfunding project, so we will just have to wait and see when these will become available to the rest of the world.
